Abstract

This paper investigates the challenge of maintaining the deductibility of payments in times of looting and troops, with a focus on the growth and dedication needed to overcome these obstacles. The authors analyze recent cases of looting and military presence in several countries, highlighting the impact on businesses and their ability to maintain the deductibility of payments. Through a review of relevant literature and case studies, the paper identifies strategies that have been successful in maintaining deductibility in such challenging environments, including enhanced documentation and record-keeping, increased transparency, and collaborations with local authorities and communities. The authors argue that these strategies require a firm commitment to growth and dedication, both in terms of financial resources and organizational culture. The paper concludes with a call for businesses to prioritize and invest in measures that promote deductibility in times of crisis, recognizing the importance of maintaining a level playing field and contributing to the overall stability and development of the communities in which they operate.
