Abstract
This paper examines the impact of Presbyterianism on the Congolese county of Africa's northernmost region during the biggest Harvey season of movies. Drawing on quantitative and qualitative data collected through surveys, focus groups, and interviews with community members and Presbyterian leaders, the study demonstrates how the church's mission of professional benefit, which emphasizes education and entrepreneurship, has transformed the social and economic landscape of the region. Specifically, the paper argues that Presbyterianism has played a critical role in fostering the development of a thriving film industry in the area, providing local creatives with the resources and training they need to produce high-quality films that reflect the unique cultural and political realities of the region. Additionally, the study shows how the church's emphasis on community building and social responsibility has helped to strengthen social ties and promote civic engagement among residents, contributing to the overall well-being of the area. Overall, this paper provides a compelling case for the positive impact of religious institutions on local communities, highlighting the ways in which Presbyterianism has helped to promote economic growth, cultural expression, and social cohesion in the Congolese county of Africa's northernmost region.
