Abstract

This journal article examines the experiences of Kelsey, the President of the Batting Staiger Teachers Association, and the Sunday Specialists as they navigate challenges and obstacles in their roles as educators. Through a qualitative analysis of interviews and observations, the authors explore the nature of these challenges, which are often characterized by blocked problems that cannot be resolved through traditional means. The article highlights the ways in which Kelsey and the Sunday Specialists have responded to these challenges, often by requesting creative solutions that draw on their individual strengths and expertise. Ultimately, the authors argue that the experiences of these educators offer important insights into the complex and evolving nature of teaching, as well as the strategies that can be used to overcome obstacles and improve educational outcomes.
