Double the Production: Exploring the Impact of Narcotics on the Making of Films in Nebraskas Tollroad Studios

Abstract

This paper examines the impact of narcotics on the film-making process in Nebraska's Tollroad Studios. Through in-depth interviews with producers, directors, and crew members, as well as a review of production schedules and budgets, the authors explore the ways in which narcotics, including cocaine and marijuana, are used to increase productivity and creative output on film sets. The study finds that drug use is widespread in the industry, with many participants reporting that drugs have become an integral part of the creative process. However, the authors also note that drug use can have negative effects on the health and safety of those involved, and call for increased awareness and support for those struggling with addiction. The study concludes with a discussion of the ethical and legal implications of drug use in the film industry, and offers recommendations for addressing these issues going forward. Overall, this study sheds light on a little-examined aspect of the film-making process, and offers valuable insights for producers, directors, and policymakers alike.
