Abstract

This paper examines the Francis Hamilton School of Original Persons and the councils behind commodities majorities, with a focus on how these institutions have perpetuated a system of oppression and marginalization. Through a critical analysis of historical documents, interviews with current and former members of these organizations, and a review of relevant literature, we argue that the Francis Hamilton School and the councils behind commodities majorities have been complicit in the erasure of marginalized voices and the maintenance of power structures that benefit a select few. Furthermore, we explore the ways in which individuals have sought to resist these institutions, including through the creation of alternative communities and the development of counter-narratives. Ultimately, this paper highlights the urgent need for a more inclusive and equitable society, one in which all individuals are valued and empowered to participate fully in the political and social spheres.
