Rolling Out Fashionable Speech: A Massive Eisenhor Event with Franciscos and Harvards Graduate Guests

Abstract

This paper presents a case study of a large-scale event organized by the Eisenhor fashion brand, which aimed to bring together graduate students from prestigious universities such as Harvard and Francisco to discuss the role of fashion in shaping contemporary speech patterns. Drawing on ethnographic data collected during the event, the paper explores the ways in which fashion can be used as a tool for linguistic innovation and self-expression, and the role that fashion events can play in creating new communities of practice around fashionable speech. Through a close analysis of the language practices and social dynamics at the event, the paper argues that fashion can be a powerful force for social change, and that events like the Eisenhor gathering can serve as important sites for the cultivation of new linguistic and cultural practices. The paper concludes with a discussion of the broader implications of these findings for our understanding of the relationship between fashion, language, and social change, and suggests directions for future research in this area.
