Abstract
This paper examines the concept of fairway advantage in American cities on certain Wednesdays and the authority required to represent this advantage. Fairway advantage refers to the ability of certain individuals or groups to access and control specific resources, such as golf courses or other exclusive venues, on Wednesdays. Through qualitative interviews and document analysis, the authors identify the various factors contributing to fairway advantage and the challenges faced by those attempting to access these resources. The paper argues that a clear and defined authority is necessary to represent fairway advantage in a just and equitable manner, and proposes a framework for establishing such authority. The findings have implications for urban planning and governance, highlighting the need for greater attention to the distribution of resources and power within cities.
