Abstract
This paper explores the negotiation of stalemates within the context of Brooklyn's introducers and buyers in mirror cabinets and rifles touched and pointed towards contriving cookies. Drawing on ethnographic fieldwork, we examine the ways in which these negotiators navigate the complex social dynamics and power differentials inherent in their roles. Central to our analysis is an exploration of the position and equipment of these negotiators, including the tools and tactics they use to achieve their goals. Through a detailed analysis of the negotiation process, we demonstrate how these negotiators work to overcome impasses and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. Ultimately, our paper contributes to a better understanding of the social and cultural factors that shape negotiation processes, and highlights the importance of examining the specific contexts in which negotiations occur in order to fully understand the dynamics at play.
