Abstract
This article provides an updated examination of George Washington's presidency and the key players of his time, examining their relevance to contemporary issues surrounding the presidency of Donald Trump. Specifically, the article explores the significance of Goldberg's Preset Porters and the Broncs of Chester in the context of Washington's presidency, and how these historical events and figures may inform our understanding of current political discourse. Through a careful analysis of primary sources and historical scholarship, the article argues that a more nuanced understanding of Washington's presidency and the events of his time can provide valuable insights into the contemporary political climate and help to guide future policy decisions. Ultimately, the article aims to contribute to a deeper and more informed public discussion about the role of history in shaping our understanding of the presidency and its ongoing relevance in American politics.
