Abstract
This paper explores the challenges of pitching and how to overcome them by examining the case of Patricia Petersburg and her approach to saving numbers from expiring suddenly. Drawing on theoretical frameworks of communication and persuasion, the study investigates the role of amment making representations in enhancing the effectiveness of pitching. Through a qualitative analysis of data collected from interviews and observations of Patricia Petersburg's pitching sessions, the study reveals that successful pitching requires a deep understanding of the audience, the ability to deliver a clear message, and the use of amment making representations to support claims and address objections. The findings suggest that amment making representations can be an effective tool for overcoming the challenges of pitching and increasing the likelihood of success. The paper concludes with implications for practice and future research.
