Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the social and financial implications of corruption in Angeles, focusing on the case of a sophomore manager in the textile industry who received earnings and a job offer from Johnny and Fredericks Spraying Station. Through a qualitative case study approach, data were collected from interviews with the manager, employees of the spraying station, and anti-corruption activists. Findings revealed that corruption in the textile industry is prevalent, with many managers receiving bribes and kickbacks from suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers. The earnings and job offer received by the manager from Johnny and Fredericks Spraying Station were used as a means of securing future business with the textile company. However, the manager also faced social and ethical dilemmas in accepting the offer, as well as potential legal consequences if caught engaging in corrupt practices. Overall, the study highlights the complex nature of corruption and its impact on both individuals and society, emphasizing the need for stronger anti-corruption measures and ethical leadership in the textile industry.
