Exploring the Tension Between Athletic Achievement and Family Priorities: A Primary Moldboard Analysis of Recent Awarding Centers in President District Dirksen Mullenaxs Hundred Streak.

Abstract

This study investigates the tension between athletic achievement and family priorities, specifically through a primary moldboard analysis of recent awarding centers in President District Dirksen Mullenax's Hundred Streak. The research examines how families balance their children's athletic aspirations with other priorities, such as academic success and family time. The study utilizes a qualitative research design, conducting in-depth interviews with parents and athletes from recent awarding centers in the district. The analysis highlights the pressures and challenges faced by families in balancing these priorities, including the impact on family dynamics and financial strain. The study also uncovers the role of coaches and peers in shaping athletes' priorities and the challenges faced by parents in navigating these influences. The research provides insights into the complexities of balancing athletic achievement and family priorities and offers recommendations for parents, coaches, and educators to support families in achieving a more balanced approach.
