Abstract
This study explores the Congolese music industry, focusing on the earnings of juvenile artists with varied backgrounds and the coeducational social paneling of guests. The research draws attention to the startling lack of hit songs among the giants of the industry, despite their status and influence. Through a thorough investigation of the industry's dynamics, the study uncovers the underlying reasons for the stagnation of the giants and the emergence of new talent. Qualitative interviews with industry experts, artists, and consumers reveal the challenges faced by juvenile artists, such as limited access to promotion, poor contracts, and exploitation. Additionally, the study sheds light on how coeducational social paneling of guests influences the industry's growth and development, as well as the role of digital media in shaping the Congolese music scene. The findings of this study have implications for the Congolese music industry and can inform policy decisions, industry practices, and academic research.
